Connect Shopify
Type your store domain, approve once on Shopify, done. From then on the agent reads your store live — every search, price and stock answer comes from Shopify at that moment, and every confirmed sale becomes a real Shopify order.
Connect, click by click
- Open the Shopify card
Dashboard → Integrations → Shopify card. Enter your store domain exactly like
your-store.myshopify.com— that is Shopify's own address for your store, shown in Shopify admin → Settings → Domains. Your custom domain (likemystore.com) won't work in this field. - Press Connect Shopify
You are sent to Shopify's own approval screen — it lists what WSend may do (read products and inventory, create orders, read order history). You never handle any token or key; press approve and you land back on Integrations.
- Look for the banner
"Shopify connected — your-store.myshopify.com. Your products sync automatically." The card now shows the domain, with Change store and Disconnect store.
What the agent does with your store
- Text search — "black kurta large under 5000" finds real products, and the agent tells the customer the truth about options: "black is sold out, here is charcoal".
- Photo search — a customer's screenshot is matched against your catalog visually.
- Stock honesty — sold-out items are shown as sold out (never hidden, never guessed); a colour or size is only promised when your store says it exists.
- Real orders — a confirmed sale calls Shopify's own order creation: the order appears in your Shopify admin, tagged
autopret(WSend's order tag) andCOD, stock reduced, your delivery charge written as a shipping line so totals match your website's. - Advance orders — when your rules require an advance, the Shopify order is created only after you approve the payment, with the advance recorded on the order.
- Returning-customer risk — the agent reads that phone number's own order history in your store (delivered, returned, refused) to apply your COD risk rules. See Payments & COD risk.
- Website orders — orders placed on your website flow back too: their addresses are checked, and the automations in Messages we send (order confirmation, delivery updates) fire for them.
Changing or disconnecting
Change store swaps the connection to a different domain. Disconnect store asks you to type the domain to confirm, then deletes the store's access token — "your agent will stop searching your products and placing orders in this store." Your past orders and customers stay in WSend.
If the connect fails
"The Shopify approval was cancelled before it finished"
Nothing changed — start again from the card.
"That store is already connected to a different business on this account"
One store, one business. Disconnect it in the other business first.
"No business here has claimed it yet"
This appears when an install was started from Shopify's side before the domain was entered in the panel. Enter the shop domain on the Shopify card first, then run the install again.
"Shopify's signature didn't match"
A configuration problem on the app credentials for this business — message us, this one is ours to fix.
Good to know
- A password-protected (not-yet-launched) store works too — the agent falls back to Shopify's Admin API for search, so you can test before launch.
- At order time every line's price is re-read from the store once more — a chat can never carry a stale price into an order.
- Your store's own currency always wins: if it disagrees with the currency picked in the panel, orders follow the store.
- Uninstalling keeps your past orders and customers in WSend — only the store link and its access token are removed.
